LAKE MARY, Fla.— A Lake Mary police officer on a motorcycle avoided serious injury on Wednesday when a juvenile driving a car swerved and struck him during a pursuit, according to officials.

The officer was performing a speed detail on Main Street in Lake Mary when he pulled a vehicle over, Lake Mary police said.
