ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Motorcycles bobbed and weaved between traffic cones Wednesday at the Orange County Traffic Officers Association's Motor Rodeo at Huntington State Beach. The event allows motorcycle police officers to show off their riding skills to each other as well as the public.

The rodeo's Top Gun competition was won by Mark Van Meter of the Huntington Beach Police Department, who credited his Honda motorcycle and some luck for his victory. "This is very cool, and it being in our home city is very nice," he said. Proceeds from the event benefit officers injured in the line of duty or the families of police killed in the line of duty.

Officers from agencies all across California competed in the rodeo.
