Check cordless power tools for contraband

Submitted by:
Deputy "Dan"
Valley County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska

When you are searching a drug house or place where contraband may be, look at the cordless power tools that may be around.  Take the battery out if it is in the tool.  Simply pressing the button to see if it works is not enough.

Located in the handles of many cordless power tools is an empty space — the plastic that separates the area where the battery is and the empty space is broken out.  Drugs and other contraband can be placed inside.

Check it or, miss it.
