PHILADELPHIA — Surveillance video shows two men following a Philadelphia police officer shortly before he was killed at the end of his shift.

Officer Moses Walker had just left his precinct early Saturday morning when two males approached him, according to CBS Philadelphia. Cameras captured Walker, dressed in plainclothes, glance over his shoulder multiple times.

Police said Monday the suspects warned Walker of a robbery, then shot the officer three times in the stomach, chest and hand. He was pronounced dead at Hahnemann University Hospital.

Detectives are working to piece together the crime, and officials have offered a $69,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and homicide conviction.

“We need the public’s help and support – someone knows something,” Mayor Michael Nutter said.
