US Marshals arrest self-proclaimed vampire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man who police say claims to be a 225-year-old vampire is being held in a Virginia jail, charged with sexually battering a young Jacksonville girl in May and two other young girls he was living with at the time of his arrest last week.

A picture police took of Jeffrey Michael Mitchell, 30, after his arrest at a Virginia Beach apartment shows the caps police said he wore on his teeth as makeshift fangs. According to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service, investigators learned that Mitchell always wore long black clothing “and he believed that he was actually a vampire.”
