NEW YORK — A lieutenant in Manhattan's Ninth Precinct is suing the city and her former commander for sexual discrimination, alleging he undermined her authority and retaliated against her for filing a complaint against a subordinate who called her the c-word.
Maureen Gill claims that when she admonished the male subordinate for his chronic lateness in May 2008, he called her a c- - -.
