Concerned motorists called in police to assist the birds

SEATTLE — Wednesday morning, commuters headed for Seattle noticed a goose and her goslings walking across a section of busy highway. Worries about the feathered family's safety caused drivers to alert the police, and state troopers in three cruisers showed up to escort the flock to an off-ramp.
A spokeswoman from the Washington State Patrol estimates that police officers took about 20 minutes to clear the geese from the road. A few lanes of traffic were shut down as the geese located an exit.
The AP video shows the flock waddling on the shoulder of the highway with a cruiser not far behind.
