DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
To serve the needs of the mass transit riding public, DART created its own police department in September of 1989. Since its inception, the department has grown to over 220 positions. With this expansion, the DART Police Department will also be increasing. The department plans to add 30 officers each year for the next 5 years, for a total of 150 new positions.
