Acceptiong applications: Currently employed or formerly employed as a law enforcement officer within past three (3) years from date of application in a California law enforcement agency and possess a California P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate. (Out-of-state applicants with similar experience and similar certification will need successful completion of a basic California P.O.S.T. academy or proof of successful completion of the Basic Course Waiver process).
