We are a campus security department with armed officers and a newly established K-9 Unit. We are located just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio and about 8 miles from the Greater Cincinnati/Northern KY International Airport.

Our dogs are explosive detection and some are dual purpose patrol dogs; we are currently recruiting for K-9 Officers

This position is responsible for duties as they relate to the safety and security of AiG and Creation Museum guests, staff, volunteers and property. This includes, but is not limited to all the duties regularly assigned to Security Officers, such as standing post as assigned, patrolling exhibit galleries and building exterior, assisting in crowd control and guest relations, responding to alarms and emergencies as assigned. This is an armed position and has the added and primary responsibility of being a K-9 Officer/handler and all the training and responsibilities that come with the position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Must be able to care for and work with assigned working dogs, which includes but is not limited to grooming, feeding, exercising and kennel cleaning.

2. Must be alert at all times while standing post or performing patrol activities.

3. Must enforce organization and museum policies and procedures as they relate to safety, security and fire safety.

4. Report any situation that requires service to the museum that may affect the guest experience.

5. Respond to any emergency situation.

6. Document unusual or reported incidents.

7. Assist in guest relation functions.

8. Performs other supervisor duties as assigned.
