Job Description

The University of Alaska Anchorage Police Department is seeking officers who currently hold a state or local law enforcment certificate that can be transfered to the State of Alaska.

You will be responsible for the safety of staff, faculty, and students of the campus, as well as enforce all state, local, and federal laws.

The University of Alaska Anchorage is situated in the middle of Anchorage, the largest city in the state.

Job Requirements
  • Age Over 21 years of age
  • Education High school education, and at least 400 hours of an accredited police academy
  • Experience preferred
  • Additional Requirement :

    Your Law Enforcement Academy must be from a State or Local agency. A Military academy can not be accepted.
    You must be able to transfer your law enforcement certificate to the State of Alaska Police Standards Council in order to accept this position.
