Position Title: Range Master/Firearms Instructor

Position Type: Civilian

Job Description

Job tasks include but are not limited to:

- INSTRUCT AND REMEDIATE OFFICERS IN FIREARM PROFICIENCY AND SAFETY STANDARDS
- MANAGE AND MAINTAIN THE RANGE EQUIPMENT, FACILITY, WEAPONS, AMMUNITION AND RANGE ANNUAL BUDGET
- DEVELOP LESSON PLANS AND TRAINING MATERIALS FOR QUARTERLY FIREARMS PROFICIENCY AND SKILL BUILDING WITHIN FDLE STANDARDS
- REPAIR AND INSPECT FIREARM EQUIPMENT FOR SAFE FUNCTION AND APPLICATION

Additional Information

Preference given to local qualified candidates. Out of area candidates may be considered at their own expense.

Experienced candidates may recieve a starting salary no greater than the mid-point of the established salary range.

Education HS/GED

Experience 5 Years Minimum

Additional Requirement :
- Prior Law Enforcement Officer or active military with a minimum of five years in a Range Master/Instructor position. - Advanced firearms proficiency in areas of utilization and instruction; competency in MS Office Suite. - Certificates in FDLE CMS Firearms and FDLE CMS Instructors Techniques highly preferred. - Budget and facility management as well as advanced technology skills preferred. Salary Information

Entry Level Salary: $40,000 annual
