PITTSBURG, Calif. — A 32-year-old Pittsburg man was arrested Tuesday night after putting a gun to a police officer’s head during a struggle, police said.

A patrol officer was driving near the 800 block of Carpino Avenue about 11 p.m. when he spotted a man standing idly in the rain, said Lt. Brian Addington. The officer parked and walked over to the man to ask what he was doing, and the man revealed he was a parolee for vehicle theft and evasion convictions.
