This cop can sing: Rick Taylor, "In Their Eyes"

On June 04, 2004, Rick Taylor released the CD entitiled "In Their Eyes" 24/7 featured the release of the song last year. Since its release, the song has continued to gain momentum and has become a staple at police memorial services. The song was written by Rick as a tribute to Police and Fire-fighters after the events of September 11, 2001. The song was professionally recorded and produced as a single song tribute CD and released June 04, 2004.

Since the release, the song has been featured in numerous media papers and television. Rick has been asked, and performed the song at a multitude of venues and memorials.

In August of 2004, Rick performed the song at the Calgary Police Rodeo as well as singing the National Anthem for the event. In September of 2004, Rick performed the song at the BC Police Officers Memorial in Victoria, BC during the unveiling of the new Police Officers Memorial and as well at the Newworks Arts II fundraiser to help raise funds for the Vancouver Police Foundation.

In May of 2005, Rick was asked to perform at the 1st Annual Washington State Law Enforcement Memorial and travelled to Olympia, Washington to perform at the event.

In the upcoming months, Rick will be travelling to perform "In Their Eyes" at the BC Conservation Officers Memorial to be held in Penticton, BC in July of 2005 and he will also be heading back down to Seattle to perform the song at a fundraiser which will be raising money for the survivors and families of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty.

"I am very grateful for the exposure that the song has received." Says Rick. "The song has really taken off and I know that it has touched many people since the release." "I have been extremely fortunate to be able to share the song with so many people and at so many events. "In Their Eyes" truly speaks to the heroism that police officers exhibit on a daily basis and the ultimate sacrifice that is sometimes given."

All of the profits from the sale of the CD will be donated to police charitable causes.
