Dr. Spencer has thirty years of national and international experience as an educator and change agent in educational, medical, government, corporate, and law enforcement organizations. She has held a joint appointment on the faculty of Johns Hopkins University in the School of Education and the Graduate Division of Business, where she was the chair of the Leadership and Organization Change Department and created the Center for Excellence in Teaching. She has held part-time faculty positions at University of Maryland in both the United States and Europe. As president of Purposeful Development Associates, a consulting firm specializing in organization change, leadership development, curriculum development, and interactive instruction training, Dr. Spencer has provided teaching and leadership instruction, change facilitation, strategic planning, executive coaching, and curriculum development to client groups across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
