Alabama: A former Prichard policeman was killed early Monday after being shot once in a struggle with a female Prichard officer, who said she was trying to get away from him when he forcibly entered her motel room, Mobile police said.

Tennessee: Officer recovers after attack. Police officer fatally shot attacker after being stabbed.

Florida: Standoff ends, suspect found dead in Volusia County.

Washington: The Washington State Patrol SWAT team will be conducting a training exercise at Washington State Ferry’s Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility on Bainbridge Island this week. The training will be conducted 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Arizona: Scottsdale police on Friday continued the investigation of an officer-involved fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man who police say threatened them with a gun after he violated a protection order by showing up at his ex-wife’s apartment.

New York: Several injured in midtown Manhattan crash, police shooting.

North Carolina: Teacher, deputy thanked for actions during school shooting.

Washington: Local police take down a man who threatens to blow himself up. Police wanted the man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, but when they found him officers had to use force to make the arrest.
