Nashville: Police Add Extra Step To Taser Procedure. Metro police sergeants are called in whenever a Taser is needed. Beginning Friday, paramedics will also help subdue people who could be Tasered. (Been there, done that with the Sergeants. Does not work due to response time of Sergeants. If you need the Taser, you need it NOW, not ten minutes later)

Oklahoma: Tulsa Police SWAT Report Released (NTOA report attached to article)

Florida: Lighter hit by Taser explodes, burns man. Crouch's wife told officers responding to a call involving a domestic dispute on North Grandview Avenue that she feared her husband would hurt himself. When police entered the apartment, Crouch confronted them with a knife. After Crouch refused to drop the weapon, an officer hit him with a Taser shot to the chest. One of the Taser probes struck a lighter in Crouch's pocket. The lighter broke and caught fire.

Florida: 300 pound man Fatally Shot By Palm Beach County Sergeant. Taser deployed first without success.

Connecticut: A man riding a bike and wearing a bulletproof vest opened fire on a New Haven police officer early this morning. Police returned fire, hitting the man at least twice.

Kansas: Man taunts police to use Taser on him; they oblige.

California: An armed robbery suspect was shot in the leg by a Cypress police officer today after his sport utility vehicle collided with another vehicle during a chase and he got out and tried to run, police said.

New Orleans: Sheriff reveals Taser death. Man died Sunday 36 hours after arrest. (After reading this headline it will be interesting to see what the autopsy actually shows/rules)

Ohio: Man charged with trying traffic stop of real police officer.
