West Virginia: (ANOTHER too close for comfort training mishap) Bridgeport Officer Injured During Training Exercise. The officer suffered cuts and bruises after a bullet grazed his arm.

Nebraska: A 14-year-old Kearney boy has been placed at the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center indefinitely after lunging at two Kearney police officers with a carving knife.

Michigan: Grand Rapids Police Department Tuesday showed off a piece of equipment that shocks a person into submission.

Texas: The Beaumont Police Department SWAT Team has been invited to participate in the 2006 Original SWAT World Challenge. The Beaumont Team earned their invitation based on their legacy of excellence and their reputation as one of the top tactical teams in the nation.

Indiana: Hostage-taker shoots himself. Police say wife is 2nd whom Garrett husband held at gunpoint.

Texas: (Hmmmmmm, have we heard this headline before?) The girlfriend of a man who was shot and killed by an officer two weeks ago disputes a police claim that her boyfriend was standing over her and punching her before the officer opened fire.
