California: The Eureka Police Department provided preliminary information Saturday about Friday’s fatal shooting by SWAT officers of Cheri Moore, a woman who brandished an orange flare gun at the window of her G Street apartment during a two-and-a-half-hour standoff with police.

Georgia: A Clayton County Police officer re-holstering his gun after a brief foot chase Sunday morning accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Minnesota: Police responded to a hostage situation in northeast Minneapolis Friday evening, as a man held a standoff in his home apparently holding his girlfriend hostage

South Carolina: A police officer wounded during last month's fatal downtown shooting should return to work to next month, Bennettsville Police Chief Larry McNeil said.

Wisconsin: Police shooting is third in two years in neighborhood.

Arizona: Trooper Larry Norman may have broken department radio policy during the shooting of Erin Hamley.

Washington: Use of force case splits deputies. Commander wanted him fired; others defend him.
