Michigan: An 11-year veteran of the city police department died this morning from wounds suffered in a shootout last night. (Another argument for patrol rifles. The suspect kept officers pinned down and they could not rescue the wounded officer until an officer with a rifle showed up and killed him).

Virginia: Officer ''devastated'' by fatal shooting of plainclothes colleague.

Indiana: An hour long standoff between an Evansville man and police Wednesday afternoon ended with a fire, a gunshot and a dog bite. (Another callout involving fire)

Tennessee: A police officer that was injured in a shoot-out with former Hot Boy Tab "Turk" Virgil has won a $10 million dollar judgment against the rapper.

California: Passenger describes police shooting. Woman says slain driver didn't try to hit officer.

New Mexico: Albuquerque standoff ends after nine hours. (Video) 

New Jersey: Cops storm home to end standoff. Armed man refuses to give up for 4 hours.

Texas: Handcuffed Suspect Escapes Police Car At 55 MPH. Man Suffers Minor Injuries.

Texas: A pit bull that had attacked another dog and was attempting to attack its owner died Tuesday night after being repeatedly shocked with a Taser by a Fort Worth police officer.

Indiana: Police Officer Falls Asleep at the Wheel and Crashes.

Georgia: Police K-9 Bites Officer, Suspect During Not-So-Routine Traffic Stop.

Canada: Officer cleared in stun gun incident. Using stun gun on agitated patient 'reasonable, necessary': watchdog.
