Los Angeles: The adventures of Taser boy. The cops did the right thing.

D.C.: One Officer, SUV Left Scene Of Fatal D.C. Police Shooting. Federal prosecutors assumed the lead role yesterday in the investigation into a D.C. police shooting that killed a 14-year-old youth, and more questions emerged about the conduct of the two off-duty officers involved, including why one left the scene.

Washington D.C.: A 14 year old boy is shot to death by an off-duty D.C. police officer. The gun that the boy was alleged to have fired at the officer is missing. So, too, is the mini-bike that led the officer to pursue the boy. Questions, doubts and suspicions abound in the aftermath of this week's tragedy -- so city officials are right to call in federal authorities to lead the investigation.
