Wisconsin: Boy, 3, finds gun, then kills himself

Florida: A traffic stop went awry Monday when a man who was being pursued for speeding crashed his car into a fence, struggled with an officer and was then shot, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

New Mexico:  The Albuquerque Police Department is warning that up to 37 officers could lose their law enforcement certification if they don't attend required firearms training

New York: A 51-year-old man upset by a series of prank phone calls was wounded by a Broome County deputy after firing a shotgun into the air outside his home, authorities said Monday.

Chicago: A teenage boy was cited in a juvenile petition Monday with involuntary manslaughter in connection with what police called the accidental shooting of a 4-year-old relative while they were handling a gun which belonged to a Chicago corrections officer.

Colorado: Former Las Animas County Attorney Shot To Death; Wife Arrested. Las Animas Deputy Witnessed Fatal Shooting. An arrest warrant said Tatum, 68, had slapped and punched Ann Tatum, 57, on Thursday before she pulled a .38-caliber revolver from her purse and shot him repeatedly, then took another revolver away from him and fired again.

Massachusetts: The Barnstable police are seeking the public's help in finding a non-lethal shotgun, designed to shoot beanbags, which may have been taken from a police car Saturday night.

Texas: “Maynard” the Kangaroo escapes from vet's yard. Police high-tail it over as Maynard flees Lewisville vet's yard. The pursuit of Maynard reached speeds as high as 25 mph and attracted a gaggle of officers and children and other neighbors trying to catch or catch a glimpse of the creature. A police officer eventually caught him by the tail.
