Ohio: SWAT standoff ends with arrest; two wounded.

California: A Hayward police officer shot and killed a man Wednesday after he allegedly attacked the officer with a pipe and tried to take the officer's weapon, authorities said.

Georgia: A Clayton County man is dead, shot by police responding to a domestic 911 call. Clayton County Police say the man was trying to kill his father, and his mother was barricaded in fear in an upstairs bedroom.

Indiana: Police thwart robbery in progress.

Canada: The medical examiner is now investigating after an Alberta man died in hospital, three weeks after being subdued by RCMP officers using Tasers.

California: The driver who terrorized a swath of central San Francisco with a series of hit-and-run crashes was out to get a police officer but settled on hurting ordinary pedestrians when he couldn't find one, prosecutors said Thursday.

New York: A lawyer trying to determine whether Rochester police officers are responsible for the death of a man in custody Friday said he's now looking into whether any of the officers used an unauthorized stun gun.

Ohio: Sheriff's deputies, fire and emergency medical personnel followed proper procedures when a Williamsburg man crashed his car into a tree and acted in a threatening manner, leading to him being Tasered and medicated. Eventually, the man died, but the exact cause of death has not been determined.

California: Justices say police officer discipline not a public record.

California: Merced officer lives to tell.

Ohio: Police said that a man was shot and killed by a Columbus officer on Wednesday night.

Louisiana: A woman involved in a traffic wreck that killed a Baton Rouge police officer has been booked with negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated, authorities said.

North Carolina: A Fayetteville police officer has been cleared by prosecutors for the fatal shooting of a man during a traffic stop.
