Video: Man saves beaten woman, holds suspect at bay for police

The marine vet happened to have a firearm and permit on him, and threatened the suspect that he would use the weapon

WEST ALLIS, Wis. — An alert West Allis man heading home from work early in the morning last week had his concealed carry permit and weapon with him, when he was able to save a woman he observed being beaten near 102nd and Lincoln.

Charlie Blackmore, a Marine Corps veteran was able to hold the suspect, Kenneth Harris until officials arrived. Police moved in, and took the suspect to the ground.

The suspect was charged in connection with this beating. The victim told FOX6 News she is grateful to Blackmore — the hero who stopped the beating.
