Video: Ohio suspect TASERed after fight with cops in cruiser

Officers struggled with the suspect as he attempted to escape from the back of a cruiser

DAYTON, Ohio — Video released by the Dayton Police Department captures a struggle with a suspect that attempted to escape from the back of a cruiser.

WHIO reports officers stopped 20-year-old Davontae Hall April 28 for illegally tinted windows.

After Hall was placed in the back of the cruiser, he became aggressive and hit an officer twice in the knee. An officer also suffered a head injury in the struggle. Police deployed a TASER to subdue Hall during the altercation. 

Police found a handgun and a bag of marijuana during a search of Hall’s vehicle.

Hall was charged with having weapons under disability, carrying a concealed weapon, escape and obstructing official business, according to the report.
