Video: Ariz. man assaults officer, gets taken down in jail

He faces three possible felony and six possible misdemeanor charges for the two scuffles

MESA, Arizona — A Mesa, Arizona man is facing multiple charges after attacking four high school junior ROTC members outside of a high school, then assaulting several police officers once in jail.

Police say the four students were assaulted about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday. A report said no weapons were involved, and none of the students sustained severe injuries.

Mesa police arrested Ceasar Ruben Meraz, 25, a former Mesa High student. He faces three possible felony and six possible misdemeanor charges.
