Police seized about $11,000 worth of illegal drugs, $2,900 in cash, drug-packaging items and a handgun during a Wednesday evening raid at a Columbia home.
Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives and Columbia police arrested three men and one woman from the raid at 633 S. 11th Street. All four were committed to Lancaster County Prison in default of $100,000 cash bail.
The raid concluded a one-year investigation. All four suspects were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, criminal conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a drug-free school zone violation, police said.
They were: Ashley Khodai, 34; Gloria N. Khodai, 35; Justin D. Johnson, 20; and Joseph H. Dietz, 44, all of 633 S. 11th St.
Gloria Khodai and Johnson were at the home when police arrived with a search warrant at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday. Ashley Khodai and Dietz appeared at the home during the search, the spokesman said.
In the basement, police found five one-pound sealed bags of marijuana with a street value of $8,000, and three bags of cocaine with a street value of $3,000, the spokesman said. Police found more drugs in other areas of the house, along with two scales, the $2,900 in cash and a .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol, the spokesman said.
Lancaster police arrested Lavon Dwayne Lewis, 19, of 125 S. Arch St., Thursday night on a warrant charging him with criminal attempt to possess marijuana, solicitation to commit prostitution, and having a prohibitive offensive weapon.
On Aug. 11, Lewis allegedly tried to buy a $5 bag of marijuana from a male undercover officer who was posing as a drug dealer, and he asked a female undercover officer for sex in exchange for $40, police said.
Lewis also allegedly had a 21-w-foot Samurai sword concealed in his clothing, police said.
