Okla. police seize 300 pounds of marijuana

Police seized 300 pounds of marijuana and arrested two women last week after separate traffic stops along Interstate 35 in north Oklahoma City, police records show.

About 8 p.m. Wednesday, officers pulled over a driver near the 11500 block of the N I-35 service road. Police searched the car and found 95 bundles of marijuana weighing about 217 pounds, records show.

The driver, later identified by police as Mary Taillor, 39, of Winnipeg, Canada, was arrested on drug trafficking complaints and taken to the Oklahoma County jail.

About 2 p.m. Thursday, officers pulled over a driver near the 13600 block of the N I-35 service road. Police found 75 bundles of marijuana in the car, weighing about 83 pounds, records show.

The driver, later identified by police as Juanita Deleon, 23, of Amarillo, Texas, was arrested on drug trafficking complaints and taken to the Oklahoma County jail.
