BAYONNE, N.J. A random search of license plate numbers in the parking lot of a Bayonne hotel led to a narcotics arrest Tuesday night, police said.

Cops running license plates at random while they cruised the parking lot at Hudson Plaza Motel on Route 440 encountered a van with no registration on file, police said. Officers followed the van out of the parking lot and stopped it, according to police.
