HARLEM, N.Y. — Multiple videos taken by citizens captured a tense scene between a crowd and NYPD officers responding to a stabbing in Harlem Monday.

According to the Gothamist, police responded to reports of a stabbing around 10:15 p.m.

As NYPD officers responded, spectators grew in number and about 100 additional officers were called in.

In the video, bystanders shout obscenities at the officers and the sound of glass shattering can be heard.

The growing crowd rebeled as police arrested an unruly subject. The victim of the stabbing, who remains unidentified, was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. The suspect in the attack, 38-year-old Adela Leon, was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest.

An NYPD spokesperson said no other arrests were made, according to the report.
