N.M. police evacuate stores after bomb threat, standoff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.  The Kmart store on St. Michael's Drive and other commercial and government buildings were evacuated Thursday evening after a man parked nearby said he had a bomb.

The man parked his van in the parking lot between the Social Security Administration and Children, Youth & Families buildings on 5th Street near Kmart at about 6:30 p.m. and said he had a bomb and a detonator. Two CYFD employees were evacuated from the building, Santa Fe police Capt. Gilbert C'debaca said.
