JERSEY CITY, N.J. — At a news conference outside the Jersey City Medical Center this afternoon, Jersey City Police Chief Tom Comey said the miracle the city was waiting for isn't coming.
Officer Marc Anthony DiNardo, the most seriously injured of five cops shot on Thursday morning, is expected to die. The husband and father of three young children is being visited by family members for a final farewell, and his organs will be harvested.
