Prostitute arrested after meeting undercover cop at station

SALEM, Ore. — Police arrested an alleged prostitute after she showed up at police headquarters after speaking online, on the phone, and text messaging with an undercover officer.

Christal D. Smith, 20, agreed to come to the Salem police station to have sex with a man for money, according to KOMO News.

When she asked the officer where the tryst would take place on Jan. 11, he showed her to an unmarked door at the department, where several officers arrested her.

Smith was booked for prostitution and promoting prostitution, coincidentally on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, according to the article.
