La. officer arrested, accused of being on duty at 2 PDs at once

He was paid for these hours through his payroll checks

MANSURA, La. — An officer was arrested after an investigation concluded he was double-dipping at two agencies, TheTownTalk reported.

Joseph Johnson, 47, was working part-time for the both the Bunkie Police and Cottonport Police Department.

An investigation uncovered Johnson had been on duty at both departments at the same time. He was paid for these hours through his payroll checks.

Warrants were issued for his arrest and the officer was booked with one count of malfeasance in office and 30 counts payroll fraud.
