Wounded NJ officer kills teen who shot him at club

The sheriff's deputy is expected to recover after the off-duty incident


ESSEX COUNTY, N.J. — An off-duty New Jersey sheriff's deputy, critically injured in a shooting at a go-go club, shot his attacker dead before collapsing, police said.

Lorenzo Zackery of Newark is expected to recover, Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura said, The (Newark) Star-Ledger reported. Zackery was shot Sunday night in Knockouts Go-Go Lounge in Newark.
