TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County police said a teenager driving a stolen minivan rammed an officer's cruiser twice and tried to run over the officer, who opened fire.

The teen driver was not shot and was arrested shortly after he fled from the minivan.

Police said the officer pulled over the vehicle shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Towson for driving without headlights. Police said the driver reversed and rammed the front of the police car, then sped off. Police said the driver later rammed the police car a second time, and then tried to run over the officer after he got out of the car.

The driver, 16-year-old Antonio Green, has been charged as an adult with attempted murder, assault on a law enforcement officer, vehicle theft and other offenses.
