Brief back to make sure the message got across
Do TV cops influence real police officers?
 January 29, 2014
Dear PoliceOne Member,

I'm pleased and proud to tell you that today I received word from Tony Luketic that parole for Ollie Tate has been denied. I wrote in a couple months ago that Tate — who attempted to murder Tony and his mother during the commission of an armed robbery — was under consideration for parole, and I asked you to write letters in opposition.

Tony told today me that Tate's next parole eligibility is November 2015, and asked me to pass along the following message to PoliceOne Members: "On behalf of my family I would like to thank everyone who took the time to email/write the parole board in opposition to the parole of Ollie Tate, the individual responsible for shooting my mother and I. I am very fortunate to be part of the greatest profession and brotherhood in the world."
