N.C. couple lead police on high-speed chase after
man escapes handcuffs, patrol car

A couple led police on a 35-minute chase around Wake County on Sunday morning that reached speeds of 120 mph and ended with three highway patrol cars boxing the vehicle in and forcing it to a stop.

N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. Tony Gibson, who narrowly missed being struck during the chase, gave the following account:
