Fla. officer fired for excessive
force during DUI arrest

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Officer David Coffey was fired following a 7-month internal investigation for using excessive force on a handcuffed prisoner after a DUI arrest.

Coffey had received at least three awards during his time at the police department.
