OMAHA, Neb. — About 60 people had gathered outside a north Omaha gas station when things went horribly wrong early Sunday.
In the well-lit parking lot of Newman's BP Amoco, a fight between two small groups escalated with gunfire just after 2:30 a.m. By the time the sun came up, it was a Mother's Day nightmare.
One man was dead, another was in the hospital, and one of Omaha's officers of the year for 2007 was on administrative leave for his role in the shootings. A grand jury investigation is pending ... Full Story |
