OMAHA, Neb. — About 60 people had gathered outside a north Omaha gas station when things went horribly wrong early Sunday.

In the well-lit parking lot of Newman's BP Amoco, a fight between two small groups escalated with gunfire just after 2:30 a.m. By the time the sun came up, it was a Mother's Day nightmare.
