PoliceOne Senior Correspondent Morgan Wright recently interviewed noted civil rights attorney Connie Rice about her efforts to address gang crime in Los Angeles County. Rice – second cousin to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice – is working in concert with law enforcement agencies to take an epidemiological approach to the gang problem. “You don’t hand out fly swatters for an epidemic of Malaria,” Rice says.
