Week 407
October 17, 2008

Editor's Note:

We at PoliceOne were saddened – and angered – by the 2007 Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted report released this week by the FBI. It stated that 57 officers “were feloniously killed in the line of duty last year.” Another 83 officers died in accidents that occurred as they were performing their official duties. More than 59,000 officers were assaulted.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of every hero who has been lost, and our determined efforts remain focused on doing everything we can to help law enforcement officers STAY SAFE.
