Editor's Note:

P1 has launched a new series, “First Person," where members candidly share their own unique cop’s-eye view of the world, from insights into issues confronting cops today to observations and advice on living life behind the thin blue line. Check out this week’s feature by Street Survival Seminar Lead Instructor Jim Glennon for a no-holds-barred commentary on the two things that he says are “slowly making us our own enemies.” Have your own "First Person" perspective to share? So with that as a guideline, let’s start with the first, and most important part of the triangle — you ... Full Story

Comment of the Week

"Next time you shoot someone, make sure you calmly walk towards him/her, say you're very concerned about their injuries and hold their hand while the ambulance arrives. Always put your gun back in the holster, especially when they complain they've been shot. Remember: suspects always tell the truth! And of course: forget they just tried to kill you."
