Editor's Note:

According to a recent PoliceOne poll, of those P1 members who served in the United States Armed Forces, 38 percent wore the uniform of the U.S. Army, 31 percent were Marines, 17 percent were with the Air Force, 13 percent with the Navy, and one percent were with the U.S. Coast Guard. To all who served, a special "thank you" and a tribute today for everything you've done — and continue to do — in service to our great country.

Today, take some time to thank those who serve, or if you've been in the military, share your experiences with fellow officers.

— Doug Wyllie, PoliceOne Senior Editor
