Suspect who shot Pentagon cops killed; officers released from hospital

John Patrick Bedell, who was "resentful of the U.S. government," walked up to the screening area outside the Pentagon and opened fire, grazing two officers. Despite their wounds, the cops were able to return fire and fatally shoot the gunman.

Bedell was wearing a suit and gave "no indication" that he had hostile intent, said Pentagon police. This incident is a reminder to be polite and professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet ... Full story
