Dear PoliceOne Member,

We all know the saying about assuming stuff. Well, with the help of some of my great friends in law enforcement, I’ve created a Letterman-style Top 10 List of dangerous assumptions for cops to avoid. For example, "Don't assume that just because they're criminals, they’re stupid." I assume (yeah, I went there!) that you have a great one to add to the list, so post that in the comments field. Stay safe out there.
