MCALESTER, Okla. — A woman arrested for drunk behavior plans to sue the McAlester Police Department after one of their officers used a TASER on her while she was handcuffed in the station.
Nakina Williams allegedly spit at Officer Sterling Taylor-Santino before he deployed the TASER. Her attorney Jeremy Beaver argued that the real damage was done after the incident, when removing the barbs, according to the Daily Mail.
“They sat her down on a bench and yanked them out... they were embedded in her upper-left breast, if you can imagine,” Beaver said.
The lawsuit also claims that Taylor-Santino failed to include the fact that Williams was handcuffed when he deployed the TASER in his police report.
Taylor-Santino was suspended for two weeks after the June 24 incident, according to the article.
