The Chicago TribunePolice responded about 2:50 a.m. to find a man on a roof ledge on the 7500 block of W. Irving Park Rd. above the parking lot of a 7-11 yelling obscenities to customers trying to enter the store and threatening to jump, according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
CHICAGO, Ill. — A man shouting obscenities at customers of a Northwest Side convenience store and threatening to jump from a ledge above a parking lot early Sunday was tasered by police to prevent the him from leaping.
The 54-year-old man refused to come off the ledge and was tasered in an attempt to prevent him from jumping from the ledge, Kubiak said.
