IP Fabrics was founded in August 2002 with the goal of accelerating deep packet processing in IP networks. The vision stemmed from the premise that future networks will have three demands that are often at odds with one another: * The need for true wire-speed performance at network speeds at and above one gigabit/sec. * The need for more intelligence to be located directly in the network in the form of real-time deep packet inspection and processing. * The need to be quickly adaptable and extensible to new network applications, protocols, and threats. Today, IP Fabrics is focused on using its network processor technology in network surveillance applications through its DeepSweep™ family of network surveillance systems. DeepSweep systems leverage several of IP Fabrics’ current products including its innovative Packet Processing Language (PPL) multi core virtualization software and its network processor hardware platforms.
