An off-duty police officer assigned to the Terrorism Task Force shot and wounded a man in Rogers Park early Saturday, police said.

The man who was shot may have been involved with a shooting in the area just before the incident, police said.

At 12:45 a.m., the officer was driving in the area in his personal car when he heard three gunshots coming from the area of Glenwood and Morse Avenues, said police News Affairs Deputy Director Pat Camden. The officer pulled over and parked his car, then walked up to that location, which is near the Morse Red Line station.
